Start by gathering your ingredients andPreheat your oven to 350 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl, add the butter, cream cheese, and brown sugar and mix until everything is creamed together. Add in the egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract, and continue to mix until well combined.

In a medium sized bowl, add the flour and salt and mix. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.

Cover the bowl and chill for several hours.

Once the cookies are baked and cooled, place the white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave the chocolate for 20 seconds, stir, and then microwave 5-7 seconds at a time until the chocolate is all melted.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick unsalted butter – softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese – softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar – packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 20 oz. jar maraschino cherries – drained and patted dry
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the butter, cream cheese, and brown sugar and mix until everything is creamed together. Add in the egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract and continue to mix until well combined.
