Crochet Hook:

To follow this crochet tutorial you’ll need a crochet hook. When I crochet I usually use 2 types of crochet hooks. I’ve listed them below:

  • Knitpro – Symphonie Rose Crochet Hooks– My first choice as of now is the Symphonie Rose Crochet Hooks from KnitPro.They opened my world to wood hooks & impressed me with their amazing lightness & how they feel in my hand. Even though they’re not padded, they never give me any strain while using them. I’ve only come across them in setsThey are available here:

  • KnitPro – Waves Crochet Hooks –Are the crochet hooks I use almost as my favorite. They are padded hooks & are comfortable to crochet with. They are a little heavier than wooden hooks, but the padded comfort is truly amazing. You can purchase these both in sets & alone. They are available here:

HOW TO CROCHET THE BERRY STITCH – PICTURE GUIDE:

1.How to start

Learn How To Crochet The Berry Stitch: (3) Pin

For the purpose of this tutorial I’m suggesting that you chain a number of stitches that are divisible by 4. You can choose to start this stitch with either number 2 of this picture instruction or do 3-16 (The Berry part) & then 2. When you’re crocheting a pattern this should be specified. Each row starts with ch 1 & ends with sl st one for this tutorial. Crochet patterns might have other instructions. For this stitch, all stitches are made in the back loop (BLO) of the stitches.

2.Slip stitch 4 stitches

Slip stitch 4 stitches in the back loop (BLO). (Crochet in 3rd ch from hook, leaving the 2 turning chains as chains for row 1 & 2). Made in the back loop (BLO).
